Growing up, some of my favorite memories were exploring local farmers markets and craft fairs with my mom and grandmother—a tradition I now share with my own daughters. I loved meeting the makers, hearing their stories, and seeing how they built a livelihood out of pure passion.

We started Great Lakes Taste to make a real, tangible impact. When you buy from a massive corporation, it’s a drop in the ocean. But when you buy from a local Michigan maker, you are directly supporting a family—helping pay for music lessons, groceries, and car repairs.

But let’s be honest—as fun as it is, you don't always have the time to hunt through every single vendor event and farmers market to find the perfect gift.
